I’m really fall’n Ya’ll!
I’m really missing/ mourning summer… so there in no better way to pass my time then to “fall” head over heals into… FALL!
Since we are still a stones throw away from summer… I’m a bit behind on my “supply” list! So I have made do with things around my house. I’ll be honest I think these little tutorials are probably my favorite!
Ok first things first you need pumpkins.
Here in Texas I don’t even think real ones are in the store yet (probably because they too are morning summer)! I found this tutorial and it amazing…All you need was toilet paper a cloth. Then wrap a swatch of cloth around then push it through the whole. For a pumpkins of different sizes I used paper towel rolls too! I love this look!
I love mason jars and these colored mason jars trend everywhere! I put these small colored mason jars in the center of my table with fresh flowers! I love the smell and its small enough that we can look over each other so we don’t have to move them when its time to eat!
Because I have a love for mason jars… I’ve developed a (kinda) hate for the lids! I don’t want to throw them away but I don’t have space to collect them! This is my FAVORITE little replica of a rod iron pumpkin made from my nemesis…. the mason jar LID!!!
Another great idea for a table runner is a box! I made this from fence wood. Super cheap and home depot or lowes will give you a couple cuts for FREE! then you just nail the pieces together. I actually use this box all the time! I’ll turn it over to prop stuff up on it or use it like I did here… You can change out the ribbon which is AWESOME! I added some recycled green tea bottle to hold my beautiful sunflowers! When you walk into my house this is the first thing you see…I just can’t help but smile!
Last but not least, I loveDuck Dynasty and the trending“happy happy happy”that you see now ….everywhere! This little sign looks great in a garden! I made it from fence wood and just free handed the “happy happy happy”!
To me fall symbolizes change: The change in season, change in routine (from summer to school), the change in colors around you. This year I hope to use this season as a change for myself. “Fall and the Holidays” are a really busy time for everyone. I want to make a note not to rush, not to stress and not get overwhelmed. This is a tall order for myself because this is my busy season, but when I sit back and think I can’t help but be overwhelmed with the blessings that God has given me. I wake up everyday to three amazing, beautiful, kids who are healthy and happy.
I get to see the sunrise and the sunset. Even though I am flawed in so many ways… I am living the life that God has planned for me… and because of that I am blessed! Thanks for reading my post!
